Micro Focus Tax Team Walks 30km for Charity

Using their Micro Focus INSPIRE volunteering days, the Micro Focus Tax team recently came together to make a difference by completing a 30km sponsored walk to raise money and awareness for the British Red Cross Global Coronavirus Appeal.

Despite being spread around the world – UK, India, Taiwan, Hungary and the US – the team came together in their locations and raised more than £1,500. Here’s what some of the team had to say:

Nicola Blencowe: “Whilst the last 18 months have been difficult for everyone, the impact of the pandemic on poorer communities around the world has been disproportionate. It’s great that Micro Focus allows us time to come together as a team and do something positive for those who are less fortunate than ourselves.”

Ben Gooch: “Volunteering is important to me because it provides an opportunity to pause, reflect and contribute in some small way to causes that do exceptional things to help communities in need.”

Sam Murphy: “It is good to take the opportunity offered by Micro Focus to support the wider community.”
