Introducing our Micro Focus INSPIRE India programs

Over the last year, Micro Focus India has helped nurture and enrich the lives of thousands of schoolchildren and students, helping many stay digitally connected to continue their education during COVID-19 lockdowns, and ensuring hundreds from deprived communities are supported with the right skills to thrive in their digital futures. Working with our charity partners, the programs we deliver align to our social purpose and enable us to measure our social impacts and report progress so that we can demonstrate strong social responsibility values.

Over the next year from April 2022 to March 2023, Micro Focus India plans to support the following programs:

The Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled

The Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled

Often, those most vulnerable in our communities face digital exclusion and risk getting left behind. As part of our social purpose to address this, Micro Focus India is a partner of the Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled, one of the biggest non-government organisations (NGO) in India. The Trust’s vision is to enable people in disability and distress to lead a dignified life and achieve this through empowering them socio-economically and technologically.

The Trust is focused on promoting education, including special education and employment-enhancing vocation skills especially among children, women, elderly and the differently abled, and livelihood enhancement projects.

This year, Micro Focus will sponsor 300 students to acquire skills-based training through a three-month based residential course at a Livelihood Resource Centre (LRC) and then help them find meaningful employment. The program aims to bridge the gap between employers seeking skilled workers and skilled workers seeking employment.

In addition to funding their higher education, Micro Focus India employees will also volunteer as mentors to guide the students during their studying, helping them stay engaged and focused so they can achieve top results.
