Micro Focus North America Marketing Team Drives Volunteering Efforts

From running the Atlanta Pride Run 5km to raise funds for AIDS and HIV awareness, research, and housing – to packing food for those in need and taking part in virtual volunteering sessions, the Micro Focus North America Marketing team has come together in a variety of ways to give back to their local communities.

Having done more than a dozen volunteering sessions during the month of June, the team’s efforts support Micro Focus Gives Back – our latest employee volunteering initiative where colleagues across Micro Focus North America locations are teaming up to make positive impacts in their local communities, as part of Micro Focus INSPIRE, our global Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) program.

The team worked together to help a Girl Scout troop from South Eastern Michigan build and fill a mini-library through the Little Free Library organization. Between them, the team donated 150 books to help get the cause up and ready so that local youth have access to books. In addition, they have supported local food banks by packing lunches and distributing food parcels to those in need. They have teamed up to volunteer virtually to support gender equality causes and to inspire those less fortunate – leveraging Micro Focus INSPIRE’s recently launched Virtual Volunteering for Teams program.

Amy Auriemma, Director of Marketing Initiatives, who helped organise the volunteering activities, said: “I am continuously proud to work for a company that promotes volunteerism as a much as Micro Focus does. We are having a great time coming together as a team to volunteer and help make a difference in people’s lives from all parts of our communities”
